This is a classic from WF that I just love.

It's easy, just change one letter in the previous posters word. Or make an anagram of it.

You can add or take away one letter unless you find an anagram. Anagrams have to be with the existing letters only.

Like this.

Goober.

Booger. 8)

Rules.

Only one change per word. Don't add/remove a letter to make an anagram work.

If you break the above rule you will be called a bad monkey.

If you can't figure out a letter or anagram ...

Thumbs Up or Down?

For this game, you name something...anything! The next person to post after you will reply by either stating "Thumbs up" or "Thumbs down". After they've answered, they also include another item to be judged by the next person!

If you answer "Thumbs Down" then you must explain why you disagree...

Have Fun!

Its my most current and popular game from WF.

My Divine Object

Ok, you may have seen games like this in the past: There's an object that you have to get from the hands of the prior poster.

Here's my twist:

Every time you take the object from the last person, as soon as it touches your hands, it must turn into something new and must be used by you somehow in your post. Also, given that this is a forum devoted to the improvement of writing, no one-liners like, "Bop you on the head, My Divine Object!" The idea is to be creative ! ! !

Participants post 5 random words. These 5 words must be included in any story/chapter/scene that is exactly 100 words (please adhere to the forum rules regarding content). The random words can be pluralized, and verbs can be placed in different tenses, but you cannot change the part of speech! If the word has ...

The Homophone Game

Garm suggested this clever idea to me; which kind of resembles -->"Three parts of speech game"

A homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning. The words may be spelled the same, such as rose (flower) and rose (past tense of "rise"), or differently, such as carat, caret, and carrot, or to, two and too. A homophone is a type of homonym, although sometimes homonym is used to refer only to homophones that have the same spelling ...

Random Poetry (or Loopy Limericks)

Write a short poem about the topic selected by the above poster.

(Optional: If you'd like to post a limerick, it should have five lines and the rhyming pattern should be AABBA.)

Example: The above poster chose Chip Clips as the next topic.

Silly Eddy found some funny clips,

Shaped like cute little plastic ships.

He put one in a moat,

To see if it could float.

But all he got was a bag of soggy chips.

Three Parts of Speech Game.

The way this works is to find a word that is spelled the same, but acts as at least three different parts of speech. The twist is to use them all properly in one sentence.

An example.

Don't forget to plane the wing of the plane on a plane surface.

Verb.

Noun.

Adjective.

Extra points if you properly construct a sentence with more than three.

Be creative and have fun!
