Site Navigation.

This is a guide to the general posting guidelines in each category and to familiarize new members with the site layout. (Note that each forum has a brief description under the link on the main page)

The bold are categories with forums in blue.

Site information

  • Site Announcements
  • New Member Introduction
  • Suggestions and Feedback
Site Announcements is an unlocked forum, but reserved for site admin to post news and site upgrades. Site issues should be discussed in the Suggestions and Feedback forum.

Writing Issues

  • How To Review*
  • SPaG
  • Character Development
  • Plot Creation
  • Publishing
  • General Writing
This category is for problems encountered by new writers in all stages of the writing process. Post your issue or article in the appropriate forum for discussion.

*note that the How To Review forum is not for posting stories

Reference Forum

  • Reference Library
  • Reference Links
Off site links to helpful writing sites. Please don't post random links in this area. Ask first if you have a link to be included. We only include legitimate links. Blogs and personal writing sites are not considered.

Community Interaction

  • The Lounge
  • Writing Challenges
  • Word Games
  • Book Discussion
Writing can be stressful business. Have fun and talk about whatever you like. I highly recommend taking part in one of the writing challenges. It's a fun way to improve writing skills and interact with our community.

The Workshop*

  • Posting Guidelines
  • Short Story
  • Novel
  • Non-Fiction
  • Scripts
  • Lyrics
  • Poetry
  • Fan Fiction
This is the most serious part of the site. Determine which genre and format (short story, novel etc) and post your story for critique. This is not the place to post articles unless you need a critique.

*This is the only area on the site for posting work for review.
