Plans for this site. Empty Plans for this site.

February 08, 2009.

A lot of you know me as garmar69 from WF.org. I plan to run this site much the same as the great folks over there. One change I plan to make is a private forum for dedicated members who do outstanding reviews on a regular basis. More information to come.

There will be a minimum of two constructive reviews per story posted in the main forum and they will be tightly moderated. I know what you're thinking: how will the first poster review two stories? We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I plan to give folks I know from WF.org a lot of latitude in the beginning.

As of yet, I'm not in need of moderators. When the need arises, I'll be taking applications.

I plan to run this site with very little tolerance for flaming or trolling. I won't allow our members to be harassed or annoyed. I understand that misunderstandings occur and I love a good debate.

Deliberate problem-making will be dealt with immediately.

Any questions? Feel free to PM me and I will answer them asap.

Gary.

I've made a bit of a change. I'm dropping the requirement for reviews--for now. It can be a little daunting for new and even experienced writers to review others' work and I want to try making it voluntary for awhile to see how it works out.

I would still like to see our members reviewing and I'll be watching for good reviewers to be included in the upcoming private reviewing forum I'm in the process of making. You will be able to have your work gone over by dedicated reviewers there.

Please don't flood the forum with your stories though. Post a story and let the other members have time to review so you can improve each story before moving on to the next.

I have made a couple of changes to the Workshop category. I created a Help Desk for posting specific questions about small excerpts of writing. Please read the sticky How to use the help desk for more information.

I also made Lyrics a subforum of Poetry to keep the home page from becoming too cluttered.

Thanks for your patience.

Gary.
