What food smells the worst?

This is just something fun. When you walk into a room filled with the odor of some food that makes you want to gag, what is it?

Cooked cabbage is mine.

Coffee. To me, it smells like puppy crap. Triggers my asthma.

My wife just told me cabbage is her worst also. I like it. I hate the smell of liver cooking.

I think the seafood down at the pier is pretty intense. But I love seafood... I just don't want to smell it while it's still in the tank crawling around.

Don't worry Salty. You're too far north for my cwoffee to waft that far. I recently had some organic coffee that smelled like cigarette butts...yikes! I couldn't drink it. I prefer my fresh ground Kona beans. Is it just me or does 'organic' seem to equate awful? Why is that? I'd much prefer to settle for organic, but it's never any good.

You're not the problem, McCoffee. I am married to a coffee-holic. And after 37 years of marital bliss, I still buy her specialty coffees because they make her happy. She especially likes the dessert-coffees like French vanilla bean coffee, chocolate rasberry or toasted almond flavors. She smiles while I walk carefully, looking for the puppy poop. LOL

Organic milk is the best (this does not mean straight from the cow, I buy it from the store and it is processed). It lasts longer than milk that is not organic, which I still can't figure out, and it actually tastes better. i also buy organic fruits and veggies when I can and meat too. Like from the local farmers. I also get organic eggs, they last longer and taste great, they remind me of going to my grandparents farm wehn I was little and they had a hen house. Some oraganic stuff is yummy. You should definately try organic milk and eggs, you can get them from your grocery store.

Now back to what foods smell so bad it makes me gag--Fish, I hate fish. Not only do I hate the smell of fish, but the taste of fish and the texture of fish (yes, I have forced myself to try different types of fish)

When I try to take a bite and the fork is under my nose, my throat tightens along with my gag reflex. I've tried holding my nose and shoved the fish in my mouth anyway, then my throat completely closes up, and I have to spit it out because it is not going to go down.

The food smell I hate the most would have to be curry. I had an Indian client when when I was working, and his parents would make homemade curries all the time. The smell of it would nauseate me and give me migraines. Terrible. I'll eat it, but not if I have to smell it cooking. Speaking of fish smell-- they made a fish curry one day and I almost had to leave early I felt so sick. And of course I couldn't exactly say "Why am I turning green? Don't worry, it's just the meal you're preparing!"

I never have problem with insects. That is weird. As far as chicken, when I was little, and I would visit my grandparents, they would fix chicken and it was fresh. Right from the hen house, killed that day, fresh. Yummy!

Now back to the food.
