Mine...
I figured this thread could be used to display whatever random thing or appliance someone wanted to share or show off.
I wanted to show Garmar my coffee maker that I love (stop rolling your eyes Salty).
You put the beans in the top part and it grinds them and drops them into the basket, then brews great coffee. It's my favorite coffee pot I've ever owned.
:D

Sweet! *steals it!*
Here's my coffee maker. And yeah, I need me a sweet set-up like MC is rubbing my nose in!

That's cool. I like Gevalia. Do you drink it?

*shudders* Does this remind you of anything, Dean?
*looks around for the wf ghost*
Well, I haven't decided on a particular brand, but I would like one that makes coffee one cup at a time with the little brewing packs.
Any suggestions?

It's super expensive, but nothing impressed me more than the Nesscafe LeCube. It brew so rich, there's foam on the espresso.
I wish I had one...
Next time I have an extra $200 to blow on a non essential item...but that will probably be 'never'.
Har har Salty.
Why don't you post a bottle of Cognac or something? :p

Re: Mine...
Hey, MC...I have that same coffee maker. TOO COOL, only mine is black, not chrome...but still!
My husband bought me a blackberry storm for my b-day a couple weeks ago. He got it for $50 bc I was due for an upgrade. At first it was very intimidating...but now I love it!

That sounds like an awesome phone.
I didn't even notice until you mentioned it, but my coffee maker is black too. Do you like it? I do love it, except that it seems like more work cleaning it out afterwards.

I love it! I am a total coffee nut and that coffee maker works best of any I've ever owned. Cuisinart is a reliable brand too.

Among the many things I collect, I have a large collection of vintage Fiestaware. Nothing newer than 1950.

Thank you! Yup, that's the whole reason I love Fiesta. You can still get Fiestaware new, they still make it, and when we have people over to the house who I don't trust with the antique plates, I give them the new ones.
(I know, I'm awful.)
What I love about all the colors is that I chose the color that will best set off the food. You don't wanna' serve pale food on a pale plate, you want to use something vibrant to give contrast and make the food look more appealing. Presentation is 50% of what's going on with food. And on the flip side, if the food has a strong and vibrant color like spaghetti in marinara sauce, then you pick a light colored plate like yellow or for even more drama, a cobalt blue plate.
(sometimes I don't think I could be any gayer)

I personally love those qualities in a man. Those are beautiful dishes! WOw. I have a feeling that if you had my family over for dinner, we would all be eating off of paper...not a trustworthy one in the bunch, yet.
OH, and you just made me realize part of what's missing from my family meals--fancy presentation.

Re: Mine...
We just got this. I'm so out of shape. 15 minutes on the weight loss setting was all I could handle tonight during an episode of Dr. Who (Blink). I hope to build my endurance...
My new years resolution was to become the kind of person who exercises, eats right and keeps a tidy home. All major failing points for me. I was the messiest person in my family, growing up...then I married an even messier man and now have the messiest tots God ever created. They can trash a place in 30 minutes or less. Sometimes I don't know whether to beat 'em or join 'em. *Ba-DUM-ching!*

Here's some more stuff I collect. Antique fountain pens!! I refurbish them and make them work like new. Get all my supplies from a place in New York called The Fountain Pen Hospital:
And I thought Saulty would get a kick out of these...

Those are so awesome. Do you ever write with any of them? I had an art class on pen and ink. That was a bit tricky, but very fun.

Of course I do! I use a 1932 Parker Vacumatic in Jade laminated celluloid on a regular basis. I have seen many luxury fountain pens made today ( modern ) that don't even come close to the beauty of the old school pens. Not by a mile.
