"Hello!" Ebyss listens as the sound of her voice echoes down the hall. Where is everyone.

She slowly turns around, cocking her head from side to side, listening for any sound at all. Nothing, but silence greets her.

She falls to her knees with tears streaming down her face. "Someone, anyone. MC, Garmar, Jack, Wreybies? Anyone."

Where did they all go?

Ebyss is determined to find them. With a determined look on her face, she struggles to her feet and proceeds down the hall.

"Hello?"

I'm here, but just barely.

LOL! That is too funny, Ebyss.

I guess I've been analyzing in my head what causes things to be the way they are. Sometimes I come to the conclusion that I'm the problem.

I started to worry that maybe I was driving people away from this site. I have a naturally obnoxious disposition--that I'm not proud of. So I thought maybe I should give the site some space and see if it made things better.

I don't think you've done anything but be a great member, MC. We're just going through a lull right now. I did a site index, but Google keeps spitting it back out that there are errors in the code. And it was a long, tedious task to do the site index. Hundreds of these little code thingys had to be cut and paste and particular codes removed. I thought me eyes were gonna fall out. All to no avail. Bummer dood.

And I'm way weirder than you, MC.

Be patient everyone. This site has not reached the point of "spontaneous conbustion". It will happen around 100+ members. Until then, think of it as our secret sanctuary where we can drop in to leave our thoughts for others who, despite the veil of internet anonymity, are "friends".

Michelle, I enjoy your energy, vitality and perspectives. Please don't change a thing! LOL And . . . I'm still hoping to see those samples of your graphic artwork that you said you could send. (hint, hint)

I been checking in, but I have not posted much lately. I been busy, trying to weed out all grammar and punctuation errors in my ms-plus weed out passive voice and other such things.

My ms is complete and has been for awhile, but I basically had to return to school. LOL!!

Anyway, I been working on a query and I think I am going to give it a shot, soon. That is, when I can go through my whole ms and not find anything wrong. Of course, that does not mean they won't find anything. They, after all, are professionals. I am not.

Query letters are hard. Nice, short, to the point, and that is the way I see it. It is rather irritating.

One thing that alarms me a bit is subtle changes I keep seeing on this board that can only be made at an administration level. Stuff like site date format. And yesterday I came on and got redirected to another website. And I have a very aggressive pop-up blocker and firewall. It was a total redirect. When I clicked the back button it took me back to my web browser homepage. Very weird.

Is it my imagination or did the user information change under our avatars? I thought it used to say "post count" and I don't recall date of registration being there. And I didn't change any of those settings. I also didn't change the setting about ads being enabled. So, either there are changes that automatically take effect after a certain period of time, or a representative of forumotion is changing them.

I have been redirected several times too. I, also, have a good pop-up and firewall. This is the only site that I visit that does it too. I noticed by our names is a thing that says google bots. I am not sure what that is, because I am not puter savvy, but I don't like it. LOL!!

There are strange things amiss at creative writers.

A Google bot supposedly collects information from a website to index in its search engine. I wonder if it may be settings in our firewalls? I can't remember if I set it to allow them here...

I guess every server has its quirks.

Farting around today with Photoscape. Probably not the final effort. First time I ever did anything like this. Took two random pics and overlapped them without really reading the instructions - kinda the way I do everything - head first without thinking too much.

Nothing wrong with that at all! I try that method every time I can.

Just added some effects to it. This is a lot of fun!

Saulty, I've been feeling so inadequate for a few weeks. Everything (graphic arts-wise) that I've done lately has been a flop. I guess I'm dealing with a bit of discouragement. I don't have a portfolio web-site yet, but I once planned to--back when I first started, before I got the client from H_ll. Oh, and I wasn't thinking about sci-fi book covers. I was thinking 'pancakes' anyway. The guy you've contracted with, is awesome. :)

Yeah... I agree; it's very dark and scary looking.

Actually, since you mention it, my six year old asked today, "What's wrong with that little kid?" Referring to Garmars av. LOL.

She's probably saying, "Mommy, why is that man pulling his hair out...and what does this mean?" Showing mom her middle finger.
